Cricket News : Ready to play long innings at Wankhade, Kohli eyes ton repeat in his comeback

Virat Kohli is returning as India captain for the second Test match against New Zealand that starts at the Wankhade Stadium in Mumbai on Friday.

Kohli speaking on the eve of the Test said the Wankhade ground brings fond memories to him. He should because the last Test match he played there, the Indian captain scored 235.

However, that sort of form has deserted Kohli off late. The Indian captain has not scored an international century in the last two years, where he played twelve Test matches.

Kohli said the pitch at Wankhade is as expected and will offer some for every player. The captain certainly would be under pressure to go one better than his replacement Ajinkya Rahane did in the first Test at Kanpur, where New Zealand held on for a draw with the last wicket partnership surviving more than ten overs.
