Well it seems like that the ruckus within the All India Chess Federation will soon be resolved as the Madras High Court has now appointed former Justice (retd) of Punjab and Haryana High Court, R. Kannan, as the new returning officer to conduct the elections to elect the office bearers of the All India Chess Federation, something which is the need of the hour looking at the present fettle of the federation. Some of the other orders passed by the Madras HC in regards to the AICF matter is, the electoral college list and all issues surrounding it are now left open to be decided by the new RO from Punjab and Haryana HC. Therefore, the old list is open for modification, elected secretary and treasurer have been authorised to sign checks for payment to RO, venue of elections will be decided by the RO, and impleadment applicants have also been given the liberty to raise all issues before the RO.
