CSKA Moscow are one win away from a record-breaking ninth consecutive appearance in the Euroleague's Final Four after beating Fenerbahce Istanbul 78-67 in Moscow on Friday in Game 2 of their best-of-five play-off series. With a 2-0 lead, CSKA now have at three chances, if required, to reach the unprecedented mark. Fenerbahce led 32-35 before CSKA emabrked on a 14-2 run to put them ahead 50-42 at half time. Fenerbahce held CSKA without a field goal for the first eight minutes of the third quarter as they clawed their way back to 52-51, but that was as good as it got for the visitors. CSKA slowly pulled away to wrap up the win - Daniel Hackett led CSKA with 14 points and 9 assists. Tornike Shengelia added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists, while Nikia Kurbanov chipped in 10 points. Marko Guduric led Fenerbahce with 27 points while Nando De Colo and Danilo Barthel had 9 each.
