Basketball: ASVEL end Olimpia Milano's six-game run with 78-69 home win

ASVEL extended their winning run in the Euroleague to five games and brought an end to Olimpia Milano's six-game streak in the process with a 78-69 victory on Friday. Trailing by four points at the end of the third quarter, ASVEL outscored their visitors 26-13 in the last ten minutes to go 10-14 for the season. David Lighty finished with 16 points for the home side and Guerschon Yabusele added 14, while Norris Cole and Moustapha Fall notched 12 apiece. Shavon Shields led all scorers with 18 points - ten coming in the first quarter - but Zach Leday was the only other player to finish in double figures for Milano, who sit third in the standings at 15-8.
