Indian shuttlers are all set to prove their mettle at the forthcoming Thailand tour where two back-to-back events will commence. Last year has not been that impressive for the Indian shuttlers in terms of performance and wins but this time around the top badminton players from the country have pulled up their socks to beat every opponent in their way. Indian badminton contingent including B Sai Praneeth, Saina Nehwal amongst others made their way to Thailand last Sunday and after clearing COVID-19 test, they will now resume their training in a scheduled manner amid the COVID-19 guidelines. Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal was in fact irked because of some rules made by the organisers where physios were initially not allowed to meet players. Nehwal even put out a Tweet regarding the issue where she was seen expressing her displeasure. Now that the entire Indian badminton contingent has cleared COVID-19 test, they are set to begin training ahead of Yonex Thailand Open, starting next week. The Asia leg in Bangkok consists of two Super 1000 events -- Yonex Thailand Open (January 12-17) and Toyota Thailand Open (January 19-24) followed by the USD 1,500,000 HSBC BWF World Tour Finals (January 27-31).
