Fourteen years after he first won the Italian Open, Rafael Nadal triumphed once again at the Foro Italico, beating world number one Novak Djokovic 6-0, 4-6, 6-1 for his ninth Italian Open crown. The Spaniard was broken just once by Djokovic - and for only the second time this tournament - on his way to victory. Nadal now has a record 34 ATP Masters 1000 titles - one more than Djokovic, as well as the mental edge heading into the upcoming French Open. But Djokovic still has the upper hand in their head-to-head battle, with 28 wins to Nadal's 26.
