Matteo Berrettini reached his first ATP final after beating Jurgen Zopp 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) in the Swiss Open. The Italian broke Zopp in the first game to set the tone for the rest of the set which he won with ease 6-4. In the second set, Zopp kept his composure to stay in the match and force a tie-break. Despite a mild resurgence from the Estonian in the decider the victory belonged to the Italian, who finished in style with a crafty drop shot over the net to take the match 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) after one hour 20 minutes on court.
