Roger Federer beat Stefanos Tsitsipas 7-6, 7-6 on Thursday to guarantee Switzerland a spot in the Hopman Cup final despite losing 2-1 to Greece. Switzerland are in the Hopman Cup final for the second straight year after Federer overcame the 20-year old Greek, who took both sets to tie-breaks. The win gave Switzerland a 1-0 lead in the tie – enough to book them a spot in Saturday's final, given they already beat Great Britain (3-0) and the US (2-1) earlier in the tournament.
