Tennis: Brilliant Hanfmann dumps Monfils out of German Open

Yannick Hanfmann was in inspired form as he beat Gael Monfils 6-4 6-3 in the German Open on Tuesday. The pair exchanged some brilliant winners in a tight first set, before the home favourite broke Monfils in the 10th game. Hanfmann didn't look back from there, another solitary breach of the Frenchman's serve earning the second set and the victory. The German will face Cristian Garín next for a place in the quarter-final.
