In Jakarta, Indonesia, on Monday, Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales presented their new Yamaha bikes for the 2019 MotoGP season. Seven-time MotoGP champion Rossi, who will be 40 on 16th February, is preparing for his 24th season of Grand Prix racing. The Italian great failed to win a race for the first time as a Yamaha rider in 2018, but still finished a creditable third place in the championship standings behind Honda's Marc Marquez and Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso. Rossi's teammate, Vinales, finished five points behind in fourth, in his second season with Yamaha. The Spaniard also broke Yamaha's record-losing streak as he scored their only victory of last season at Phillip Island. Both Rossi and Vinales will hope they can break the Marquez stranglehold on MotoGP, who has won the last three championships and five overall.
