Football: UEFA 'not happy to lose FFP case against Man City' - Ceferin

UEFA president Alexander Ceferin told SNTV that he was "confident" that Euro 2020 would still go ahead next year despite the worldwide pandemic - but added that UEFA were "ready to adapt" their plans for the tournament. The tournament was due to be staged in 12 host cities around Europe this summer but was postponed by 12 months because of Covid-19. But Ceferin said that he thought a vaccine would be discovered before the Euros, allowing the tournament to go ahead in 2021 - he insisted there was no thought at UEFA of a "plan B". Ceferin also said that the one-leg Champions League and Europa League knockout ties format, introduced becuase of lockdown implications is "something to consider for the future."
