Sydney FC defeated 10-men Adelaide United 3-2 in A-League season opener thriller at the Coopers Stadium on Friday. Adam Le Fondre scored twice to give the visitors a 2-0 lead, before Nikola Mileusnic and Al-Hassan Toure levelled the score for the host team. Ryan McGowan scored a header to give Sydney FC the final 3-2.
