Football: Solskjaer - 'We deserved the win' against Brighton

Manchester United came from behind once again to win 2-1 against Brighton at Old Trafford and consolidate second place in the Premier League. "We gave ourselves work to do," admitted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when he faced the media after the match. Solskjaer also said that he was prepared to let Dean Henderson and David de Gea share goalkeeping duties, and confirmed that striker Anthony Martial is likely to miss the rest of the season because of a knee injury sustained on international duty. Danny Welbeck, a former United player, gave Brighton the lead in the first half before Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood scored for the Reds after the break. The win sees United restore the 14-point gap to league leaders Manchester City; United also have a game in hand. More importantly, Solskjaer's team are 11 points clear of Tottenham in fifth so should be assured of a place in the UEFA Champions League next season. Solskjaer said it's likely that striker Anthony Martial will miss the rest of the season because of a knee injury sustained on international duty with France.
