Two Cristiano Ronaldo penalties rescued a point for Juventus - and extended their Serie A lead to eight points - after a hard-fought 2-2 draw with Atalanta on Saturday. Atalanta demonstrated why they are regarded as the coming team in Italy and Europe and they more than matched the Serie A leaders and champions. They took a 1-0 lead through Duvan Zapata only for Cristiano Ronaldo to level from the spot. Ruslan Malinovskiy looked to have given Atalanta the points - only for the referee to give Juve another chance from the penalty spot in stoppage time - a chance which Ronaldo gratefully accepted. Juve now lead Lazio by eight points - with Atalanta just a further point behind in third.
