Liverpool last loss at Anfield in the Premier League came in April 2017, and the Reds have now failed to score in four consecutive league games for the first time since May 2000. Before Thursday, the Clarets hadn't won at Liverpool since September 1974, but Ashley Barnes' late penalty ended a 46-year wait. Liverpool had 27 shots but drew a blank to suffer their third league defeat of the season, leaving them six points adrift of leaders Manchester United. Next up for Liverpool is a trip to Old Trafford to face Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday (24th January), followed by an away clash at Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur in the league on Thursday (28th January)
