With a month and a half to go for the start of the AFC Asian Cup in the UAE in 2019. The Indian Football team is all set to play a friendly against Jordan on the 17th of November. With an impressive performance in a tough away clash against China last month, India would be looking to carry on the momentum against Jordan. The biggest news though from the Indian camp is star striker Sunil Chhetri, the country’s all-time leading scorer with 65 goals will miss the friendly against Jordan due to an ankle injury. Sunil’s availability is certainly a big loss for the team, a sentiment which was acknowledged by head coach Stephen Constantine but also added that it is an opportunity for young players in the squad to step up and take this opportunity.
