Melbourne City got revenge on their Grand Final opponents Sydney FC with a 3-2 win in a rematch of the 2019/20 A-Legue Grand Final on Tuesday at the AAMI Park, Melbourne. The hosts led the game with three goals ahead early in the second half thanks to the brace from Jamie Maclaren and a goal from Adrián Luna in between. City dominated for an hour of play before Sydney coming back with two goals through Milos Ninkovic and Patrick Wood. The result means Melbourne City moved up from 10th to 9th with 9 points while Sydney FC remain on the 5th with 11 points out of 7 games.on the table.
