English Premier League side Liverpool are close to sealing a world-record deal for Roma goalkeeper Alisson. Reports in Italy and the UK suggest that Liverpool have met the 75 million euro (87.5 million US dollars) valuation set by Italian club Roma. The current record is held by Juventus, who splashed out 53 million euro (61.7 million US dollars) for Gianluigi Buffon. 25-year-old Alisson played in goal for Brazil during the World Cup in Russia and enjoyed a good season for Roma in 2017.
