Football: Lampard says Chelsea defence needs time to gel together

The Blues have already conceded nine goals in their opening five Premier League matches. Frank Lampard: "I keep talking about the need for work and how things can take time. We're playing with new players and it's understandable to have moments where I talk about game management. It has to be worked on with time. Things like Southampton at the weekend is a lesson to, unfortunately, be learned in real-time because we don't have so much time with the players so far this season. That will come and we need to make sure those lessons are learnt quickly and the players will be made very aware of that."
