Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta said he was hopeful of persuading captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to remain at the club - after his two goals helped the Gunners defeat Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday. Arteta was full of praise for his skipper who equalised from the penalty spot - and then scored an equisite second goal to give Arsenal a record 14th win in the competition. Aubameyang's contract is due to end next year and Arteta said he would try to build a new squad around the Gabon striker.
