Sri Lanka’s Kusal Perera played an innings of a lifetime as he hit an unbeaten 153 to take Sri Lanka to victory by 1 wicket in the first test match against South Africa in Durban. South Africa in their first innings managed to post only 235 but their bowlers came back strongly to dismiss Sri Lanka for 191 in their first innings. With a disciplined bowling effort Sri Lanka bundled out South Africa for 259 and as a result were set a daunting target of 304. Sri Lanka in their chase kept on losing regular wickets and seemed out of the game at 226-9 but a determined Kusal Pereira stitched a priceless 78 runs stand with No 11 batsman Vishwa Fernando to take Sri Lanka to a terrific victory.
