Cricket: India coach Ravi Shastri reacts on Stokes and Kohli ahead of 3rd Test

India's training session at Trent Bridge got off to a sombre start. India are 2-0 down in their 5-Test series against England. Team India Lost the second Test by an innings and 159 runs. Shastri believes conditions have been tough right through this series and the head coach asks his players to show their true character, be prepared to look ugly and "show some grit”. Good news for Shastri is that Virat Kohli is fit to play in the third Test at Trent Bridge. Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri described controversial all-rounder Ben Stokes as a "terrific cricketer". If I was in England's position, I would have wanted him to play, said Shastri. Before starting the training session Team India took a minute to reflect on the life of former captain Ajit Wadekar who died at the age of 77 in Mumbai.
