Cricket: Caribbean fast bowler Cecil Wright ends 60-year cricket career at age of 85

Cecil Wright called time on his 60-year cricket career on Saturday as he made his final outing for Uppermill Cricket Club's second XI v Springhead in the Pennine League. Records indicate that the 85-year-old Wright played in one first class match for Jamaica against Barbados in 1958. The former fast bowler then moved to England in 1959 and forged a career playing in the Central Lancashire League for Crompton. Wright, known as Cec by his teammates, is reported to have taken over 7,000 wickets in his time. He also said his secret to such a long time in the sport is his love of the game and always wanting to take more wickets.
