Badminton: PV Sindhu eased into second round of All England Open Championships

Day one of the All England Open Championships in Birmingham saw the sixth seed PV Sindhu moving ahead to the second round after beating Zhang Beiwen in straight games. The Indian shuttler Sindhu defeated Beiwen of USA 21-14, 21-17 in the first round. In the men’s draw, Kidambi Srikanth knocked out in the first round of All England Championships. The former world number one was eliminated by third seed Chen Long.
